DOES SCHOOL TAKE TOO MUCH FREE TIME?

Have you ever felt overwhelmed with school work and thought that school takes too much of your free time? The vast majority of pupils, students and parents believe that school work at home takes too much free time. Consequently, students are constantly under stress and unable to relax.  Contrary to their opinion, I believe that it is possible for every student to find a proper balance between school work and free time.

After taking the decision to attend a grammar school, I was prepared to study longer. It is expected that time spent for school will extend compared to primary school. However, from my own experience, time spent for school is not as long as I thought it would be. In my opinion, the best way to gain more free time is to organise your school work smartly. For example, doing homework is fastest the same day you get it, studying regularly is much more efficient than studying in bursts, consequently, levels of stress, pressure and  the amount of time spent on  studying are much lower.

Another way to gain more of free time is to be attentive at school. I know, from my own experience, that following the lessons at school can significantly lower the time spent on school work at home. In this way, school work is done much faster and the same applies to studying. If you spend less time on subjects that you do not find difficult, you will also gain more time and motivation for subjects that require more learning.

All in all, if you do not have enough free time for relaxation and friends and you are overwhelmed with school work, you should organise  your time well, by following the lessons at school, studying  regularly and doing your homework as soon as possible.. Managing your time efficiently has many benefits, one of them are also better marks.  So why not try it?
